Courses With TA Positions for 2011/12 Academic Year
All graduate students are invited to apply for a Graduate Teaching
Assistantship in the Department of Mathematics for the Fall and Winter
terms of 2011/12. Following the Collective Agreement, students who
have been offered TA support as part of their graduate acceptance
package will be given preference for the available positions.

Notes:
- The list is of all courses which may be assigned a graduate
TA.
- Courses with low final enrollments will not be assigned a TA. The
cutoff is usually 15 students.
- Some instructors may opt not to use a TA.
- Instructors and enrollments are not final until September.
- All successful applicants must be knowledgable in the material of
the specific course they are applying for. Some courses have
additional specific requirements, and they are indicated with the course.

Applying
- Students enrolled in a MATH or STAT graduate program
(Group A and B)
- Email your course preferences to Alan Ableson (ableson@mast.queensu.ca)
- Other applicants (Group C and D)
- Email your application package and course preferences to Anne Burns (burnsa@mast.queensu.ca)
Note: typically students in Group B would need to submit a curriculum
vitae and a copy of their transcript(s) setting out their academic
accomplishments and relevant experience. We will waive that and
request it if necessary.
Deadline
The deadline for submitting applications and preferences is
Wednesday August 24.
