Welcome to APSC 174 J section!  This website will contain all of the information required for this course.

Class Meetings:  Jeffery Hall room 128 (same room as before)
Mondays from 11:30am - 12:30pm
Tuesdays from 1:30pm - 2:30pm 
Tuesdays from 2:30pm - 3:30pm for weeks 1 - 4  (3 weeks to make up for a 5 week second half and an additional extra class to make up for Victoria Day).
Thursdays from 10:30am - 11:30am

Tutorials: Jeffery Hall room 128 (immediately after our Thursday lecture)
Thursdays 11:30am - 12:30pm

Announcements

NEW 10) Tutorial and Homework sets have been posted.  It is recommended to have all work completed by Sunday May 13 in order to prepare for the test on Wed. May 16th.

NEW 9) Test #2 is scheduled for Wednesday May 16th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm in Ellis Auditorium.  Bring your student ID. 
Topics include: The material up to and including Section 10 of the Lecture Notes, but only the methods involved in checking whether a
function is a linear mapping or not.  Test 2 will NOT include the theorems studied in Section 10.
PRACTICE TEST #2  -  this is test #2 giving in the APSC 174 main section from Winter 2012.

Test #3 is re-scheduled for Monday May 28th, 2012 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

8) Beginning April 30th, we have new class times as well as a new tutorial time.  Details above.  There will also be an additional lecture for the first 4 weeks
after we return.  This is due to a scheduling mistake and the fact that Victoria Day falls on a Monday (May 21st).  To summarize, we'll have 4 lectures each week for the first 3
weeks and then 3 lectures each week for the remaining 2 weeks of class.  The "extra lecture" time will be posted above when it is announced.  Tutorials will run each week.

7) Homework #6 is posted and should be completed before returning after the exam session break on April 30th, 2012.  (posted April 4th, 2012)

6) TEST #1 is scheduled for Wednesday April 4th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.  Location: Chernoff Auditorium.  Bring your student ID to the test.
The test will cover material from sections 0 to the end of section 6 from the lecture notes.

5) Tutorial #3 solutions posted, HW #3 solutions, tutorial #4 and HW #4 to be posted (March 20, 2012). 

4) Tutorial #2 and Homework #2 solutions posted, tutorial #3 posted (March 11, 2012).

3) Tutorial #1 and Homework #1 solutions have been posted.  Check back regularly each week for new problems to do in tutorial and own your own.
